Bihar Elections 2025 : Before the Bihar Assembly elections in 2025, political turmoil has intensified regarding seat sharing in the NDA alliance. A social media post by Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) President Upendra Kushwaha created a stir in the entire political environment. Kushwaha clearly said that the final agreement on seat sharing has not been reached yet, while its news is being wrongly spread in the media.

Upendra Kushwaha's scathing post

On Saturday morning, Upendra Kushwaha wrote on 'X' (formerly Twitter), "Don't go by the news here and there. The conversation has not been completed yet. I don't know what kind of news is going on in the media. If someone is planting the news, then it is deceit and fraud. You people remain alert like this." His statement made it clear that differences still remain within the NDA regarding seat distribution. After this post by Kushwaha, the discussion intensified in political circles about whether there has been any hindrance in the seat-sharing process of NDA, or whether the smaller allies have not been satisfied.

BJP Says Seat-Sharing Formula Almost Finalized

After this statement of Kushwaha, BJP tried to clarify the situation. Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal said that seat-sharing talks between the alliance parties are almost complete and it can be formally announced on Saturday. He said that there will be a meeting of BJP's core group in Delhi on Saturday, after which seat sharing will be announced from Delhi or Patna.

Possible Seat Formula

According to sources, a proposal for seat sharing has been prepared in NDA, in which around 200 to 203 seats can be given to BJP and JDU together. At the same time, out of the remaining 40 to 42 seats, LJP (Ram Vilas) can get 26 seats, Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) can get 8 seats and Upendra Kushwaha's RLM can get 6 seats. However, all parties have not yet agreed on this.

Discontent among smaller parties remains a hurdle

Sources say that there is some dissatisfaction among the smaller allies of NDA. He believes that BJP and JDU are keeping too many seats between them, while regional parties are getting less share than expected. Talks on this issue are still going on.

Announcement likely today

The BJP leadership has indicated that the final decision on seat sharing will be taken today. A round of meetings is going on in Delhi and Patna. If everything goes well, then NDA can formally announce the seats by Saturday evening. Political analysts believe that this post of Upendra Kushwaha has not only exposed the situation within the NDA, but has also created a new stir in the politics of Bihar.
